Individual Note

George Glasscock was the illegitimate child of Sarah Ann Glasscock and John George Campbell but, like his younger half-brother James, appeared not to be too disadvantaged by being brought up in a one parent family. In later life he was a Justice of the Peace, and in 1898, according to Kelly's Directory for that year, was Chairman of the South Shoebury District Council.
