Individual Note

Archibald worked at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich as a "forger smith". In 1901 he was living with his parents, his brother Frank and his sister Nora at 47 Hanover Road, Plumstead, but shortly afterwards he emigrated to the United States, where he took a job as a blacksmith at Oakland in San Francisco. In 1905 he contracted peritonitis and died on 2 May, leaving a widow, Jennie.
