Crosier's Diary, March 1779, (in email from MAHG) tells us that the Coes became connected with the landed gentry after the marriage of Frances Coe to Drigue Billers Olmius, 2nd Lord Waltham, who "married Mr Coe's niece with whom he had ten thousand pounds".
