Mary Cholnley married Thomas Coe Gent of Maldon and is buried under a floor slab in the d'Arcy Chapel in All Saints church, partially covered by a pew base. The (partial) inscription reads: "Here lyeth the (body of) Mary Coe the w(ife of) Thomas Coe of Maldon. (She was) one of the daughters of (?) Cholnley Esq (who) departed this L(ife) the last day of N(ovember) 1688 aged 5(?) years. Memento Mori. (Here lyeth the body of) William Coe her yo(ungest son who) died 24th August 17(11?). Elizabeth Coe w(ife of the) said William died (?)day of ? ) 1750 aged 7(?) years."

In Jasper Cholmley's will of 1677 he bequeaths to his "niece Mary Coe all my Gold also I give her mine horse and my needlework carpet" (from Joan's transcription). We surmise that Mary is the daughter of Jasper's brother.
