Individual Note
Jonathan married his first wife, Catherine Joyce, at St Mary's Prittlewell on 28 February 1799, but at some point in the early 1800s he must have made his way upriver to Woolwich like his younger brother James, as his second marriage as a widower, to Agnes Sheppeck, a widow, was at St Mary's Magdalene 28 years later. Jonathan's siblings, James and Elizabeth, witnessed the union. Days later he was dead.
